I have this TV http://www.pcpro.co.uk/reviews/peripherals/75057/s...
which we used to have in the bedroom and it worked fine with the old analogue aerials.
I want to use this now with our virgin Media box but it does not have a HDMI port only a DVI port with a hdmi adapter on it. (YELLOW thing) I can get a picture but no sound.
it has an audio input next to it.
Is there a hdmi cable I can get with the audio split off to stick in the above audio in which will fix this for me.
See below pics for other inputs.

DVI is indeed only video, those 2 black sockets in between the DVI and VGA inputs are the audio inputs for those inputs, hopefully your virgin box will have analogue audio outputs, most likely red and white RCA/Phono plugs, you'll need an appropriate lead, for example http://www.amazon.co.uk/3-5mm-Phono-Stereo-Audio-C...
You need an HDMI audio breakout or extractor, something like this:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Av-Tool-HDMI-AUDIO-BREAKOU...
Although I can't be certain this one passes through the HDMI as there is no picture of the back of the box.
Plus a 3.5mm stereo jack to jack cable & a short HDMI cable.

Do you reckon this would do the trick?

Yes, I think that description of the unit looks correct & the reviews are ok.
Note I accept no liability if it's flaky! HDMI boxes like these can be a bit of a pain due to HDCP issues & I don't see any mention of HDCP in the description. However, it's direct from Amazon so I'd say it's a safe punt & could be returned if it caused problems.

Virgin box does not have separate audio outs - just hdmi!
Must be a box I haven't seen before. Does it have scart at all? You can get an analogue audio signal from scart with the right cable.I've personally had no end of trouble trying to use one of those boxs with a PS3 and DVI TV, luckily Sony added multi out via an firmware update which let me ditch the box and use an analogue cable. Of course you may not have the same difficulties I did.
