Mexico Blue GT3 - Newcastle
Discussion
Stunning looking Mexico Blue GT3 being picked up by its new owner this weekend. There was a new Cayman in the showroom as well, same colour, black wheels, also going out this weekend. It also looked pretty perfect. Anyone on here? Then, maybe because I was looking, I saw a Mexico Blue Mk2 Escort later in the day!

Very interesting post , I enquired about a GT3 about 18 months ago and was told by the sales manager they had been allocated two and both had been sold.I was in there about 6 months ago and told that the two GT3's that they had delivered had been "moved on " by the original owners.
Now another couple turn up ?
That's an interesting way of being honest with your existing client base.

I think a few people cancelled their orders when the stop sale notice was given. I was in there about 6 months ago and told that the two GT3's that they had delivered had been "moved on " by the original owners.

A friend of mine wanted one, couldn't get one, stop sale came about, people cancelled, he got his order accepted, he got the car a couple of weeks ago.
I guess you had to be pro-active and keep badgering the dealer as they could have sold their allocation several times over.
I really hate those chavtastic lights. Why anyone would spec I have no idea and even more so why would Porsche think they actually look good. OPC Tonbridge had a lovely Gulf blue & Orange one the other week but it didn't have buckets and it had those silly lights. Each to their own I suppose.

Asked the question as a genuine enquiry , asked to be kept informed of any change in the two existing confirmed sales and this with previous purchase history from the same dealership.A friend of mine wanted one, couldn't get one, stop sale came about, people cancelled, he got his order accepted, he got the car a couple of weeks ago.

I wouldn't badger the dealer afterwards as he had my details to hand , I would at least have expected a phone call from the sales manager keeping me informed of any change of allocation / availibility.
Such is life.
