Currently in the process of fitting some old 90's Recaro's to a Y reg Fiesta. As expected, seat runners are completely different and don't fit but the runners I need are no where to be found on eBay or anywhere. I've even been to the dark cold recess' of google's many pages but nothing!! The runners I need are from a Fiesta MK3.5, roughly 94-96 I believe as the earlier MK3 had a different floor pan but I may be wrong....My question is, if none should come up is it worth ringing Ford direct ( I hear manufacturers stop making parts for cars older then 15 years)? or try and get some mounts made up by a fabrication company? What other things can I do, anybody made some DIY seat runners/mounts before and how did you go about them?

i regularly consider changing the seats in my mk5 zs (im assuming thats what you have by user name?) but i cant because my car is immaculate inside.

But if you are going to change them and are not bothered about going back you can simply weld the runners / underneath of seat to your new seat. failing that you can buy another set and modify them or just 'make' your new seats fit with the help of welding / cutting.

As is mine, the seats, carpet etc is all stunning but the Recaro's really do make the interior so much sportier and more comfortable, I find the MK5 seats rather unsupporting and I can tell the Recaro's are way more comfortable as I've sat in them in the kitchen whilst they're out the car haha. Problem is though, the runners I'm after MK3.5 I can't find, there were some last week on eBay but I didn't buy them because I thought I wouldn't need them so I'm kicking myself right now...I can't even weld anyway so I'll have to send them somewhere to have them done as a last resort..,

I swear the mk3 and 3.5 fezza have the same floor, where did your seats come from? If you're in Essex I know someone with a container filled up with crap like that, I moved a van load of Recaros with him at the weekend.

Ah they did change it a bit, I've learnt something new today then, and apparently they're the same as mk4/5 fiesta and the puma.
