I'm going to buy a PS4 for my daughter who is 8, but I will also be using it myself for more grown up games that I'd rather she didn't have access to. I'd also like her to be able to play Minecraft with her friends online.

I'm a long time xbox user and wondered if any PS4 users out there could tell me how effective / possible / simple it is to sort this stuff out. On the xbox it was frankly a PITA. In fact we never managed to set her up with xbox LIVE in a satisfactory way. She would have to use my xbox LIVE account to connect with her friends, and frankly I don't really want a bunch of 8 year old girls as my 'friends' on line.

So, a few questions...

Is it easy to set her up with a limited PS+ account that I can have control of?

Will I need two PS+ accounts to allow us each to have our own group of online friends kept separate from each other? In all honesty I may not bother with online play myself (too old to be competitive), but it would be nice to have the option should the mood take me. I also want to be able to control who she makes online friends with.

Is it an easy system restricting which games she can and can't play? Is the system purely based on age ratings or can you make exceptions (for example Forza Horizon was age restricted, but I think she was AOK playing that so I made an exception on the xbox).

I'd also like her to be able to buy content like Minecraft mods with credit that we have uploaded for her, is this easy and a parent-friendly system? I assume that doesn't need PS+ - We never managed to get this working in xbox LIVE as age restrictions meant I had to approve her account, the system for which never worked. Has anybody managed this on the PS4?

Are Sony as annoying as MS when it comes to storing your credit card information online? - Basically if my CC details need to go up on the system it's not happening, they just aren't careful enough with security.

Any other parental 'gotchas'?

Sorry for the list of questions, I know the official answers are available online, but the official xbox answers were simply untrue and I'd like to hear from somebody who has actaully got this stuff working.

Thanks!
