It has to be a new model introduced this year, lots to choose from really:

All impressive cars but I have surprisingly little "want" for any of them.

It could have been this:

but having to say your "supercar" has a 1.5 litre 3 cylinder engine isn't cool and I hear the chassis is a bit tame.

This looks interesting: Rear-engined, RWD, turbocharged engine...

but probably not as fun in reality.

I might have said this if it was a bit cheaper.

I could say this (as I think the Coupe wasn't introduced until this year)

but the F-Type was my car of the year last year, so I won't!

So I'm going to go with this.

Refreshingly old school for a supercar i.e. no turbochargers or hybrid systems, just a very powerful NA V8!

A bit of a disappointing this year for real world heroes (last year we had the Fiesta ST, Alfa 4C, GT86? etc) but in terms of a car I actually like the look of that I can realistically afford. Proper engine, manual gearbox, RWD etc, I would go for this (although technically it's a variant of a car released in 2012/2013)!

That's a compliment from me, as I generally hate the look and image of new BMWs!

The Tesla was released in 2013 (or possibly even 2012?) so probably doesn't qualify, but if it did it'd get my vote.

not that it'd get my vote, but I guess the Citroen Cactus deserves a mention.

According to "Honest John", it went on sale in the UK in RHD this year. Available in the USA since 2012 though. smile

Freshly introduced ( to my drive) this year I'll like to put forward the Nissan Micra K11 (1.0 litre, 'Tropic' )

Only released in the US this year (does that count?) but the new Ford Mustang looks great and most importantly is affordable to a reasonable amount of car enthusiasts.

The Twingo seems like it could be an affordable laugh but apparently all of the safety features stop you from having any "Fun"

Good call. Will the UK get the V8 though (or just the Ecoboost version)?

This would be my choice, in terms of something I might actually want to realistically own:-

Relatively cheap and simple fun; I'd have it in normally aspirated flavour.
