3rd January 2004:

Dear Mr. Joust,

We thank you for your message but must inform you that this event is restricted to owners of Noble fine automobiles. On perusing our records we note that you do not currently fall into this category so, regretfully, we are unable to accept your request.

Should your situation change, please feel free to re-apply at which point we will give it serious consideration. Please note that, in any event, preference will be given to Titanium coloured cars followed by Turquoise then Red, Black, Green, others and lastly Blue.

We thank you for your interest.

Etc., etc.

3rd Jan, later in the day, after a bit of a rethink.

Blue cars will be given preference, indigo first followed by the lesser azure. Snipers will be on hand to take out turqoise cars before they come into view causing people retinas to detach.

Dear Mr Sherman (Newbie Noble employee I take?)

I appreciate you are new to this game, but unfortunately you need to spend more time licking stamps and sending the post. God only knows how you got onto the organising committee for the owners track day.

Let me spell out the facts to you in simple terms.

1) Your "records" are wrong, but then I suppose you had a look at the Led Zeppelin records in Lee's office and thought that they were the details of the owners. I hate to inform you but there aren't any owners called "Coda", "Presence" or even "Led Zeppelin".

2) GTO2OOM is still registered to me, and will be until the day when the M400 takes on its registration.

3) I also own many and varied places on the factory waiting list. Unfortunately I can only imagine that you thought the file marked "waiting list" was for making the tea. Well it isn't boy.

4) Joust is not my real name, and so if you hadn't made the mistakes in 1), 2) or 3), if you've been looking for Joust then you won't find it.

But then, for someone so grammatically challenged as you, I can see why you would make such mistakes, however, it isn't good enough. I suggest you have a look in the English Book of Given Name Lexicography to work out why you have the brain of an Arachis minor.

In summary, I'd like a full apology from you, and if you don't I'll come and spank your a*** like you deserve, you spotty little oik, and god help you if I send your little letter to the Chief Tea Boy.

Yours sincerely,

J

Mmmmmm.... was thinking of getting my side and rear glass tinted black, but now I think I'll go bulletproof instead!

Simon,

Now that there are 60+ cars in the US why don't you hold an owner's day in the US? There are some good tracks right in a good central location around Dallas. I would help you organize it. We could have 1G, installers, Trevor, and others attend.

It actually sounds like an excellent idea, Dean. Let me have a word with Ron and Dean at 1g and we'll take it from there.

I'm up for doing both depending on overall costs for track day insurance, etc.
