Track day on repaired tyre? OK?
Discussion
OK so tonight I took my wheels with summer tyres off to put the spare set on with winters. I found a nail in one of them and spent some time removing it. Once I got it out the bloody hissing started. Almost wished I hadn't bothered, but I am going on the PH Goodwood track day and would rather find this now than on track as they will go back on for the day.
What I'd like to know is whether I should worry at all with getting it repaired and using it on the track day? I can't imagine there should be a problem with it, it's not a big repair that's needed but I thought I'd check with more knowledgeable folk.

As long as its in the normal repairable area of the tyre it should be fine.
Before I switched to using drag radials I raced on street tyres, one had two repairs and caused me no issues.
That's great, cheers. Just typical that it happened when it did but as I say, definitely glad I found it now as opposed to when it blew out on track. Before I switched to using drag radials I raced on street tyres, one had two repairs and caused me no issues.
