Tooth with filling - food trap
Discussion
After a bit of dental advice, I have a tooth with a deep filling that is a food trap and difficult to keep clean. I floss it, use interdental brushes and the water jet things. My dentist has reshaped the filling to try and reduce food getting trapped but 2 weeks after doing this problem is back.
Any suggestions as to what can be done as I just don't know what to do apart from having it taken out. Think the dentist identifies the tooth as the upper left 4.
Thanks.

What type of filling?
I had some CEREC fillings done - its a filling that is made in a machine and glued in
They are a different league to normal fillings - rather than having fillings that are flat or go downwards - these ones more closeley replicate the original bumps your teeth had
they're quite expensive though - may get a discount f you have a couple done at once like i did

just to add, if you have 2 teeth together which have fillings and there is a gap -putting a CEREC into one or both may clsoe the gap enough to stop food being stuck.
also some dentists can do CEREC onsite with a machine but some dentists should be able to do a filling the same way but by sending it away. i was impressed with the CEREC as the dentist designed the tooth on the computer whilst i was there and in your case you can specify what you are trying to achieve.
