Don't know what it is about this guy, but every time I see him, I have this completely irrational desire to punch his fing lights out.

Strange really, as I'm normally a very placcid man.

Does he have this effect on anyone else

Not quite, but I can see where you are coming from, he is about as funny as clowns, which as everyone knows are widely regarded as the most unfunny thing ever.

I really don't find him funny at all. He has one of those annoying faces too. I hate the way that he smuggly delivers a gag.

No the guy's not really a natural is he. Funny how he became known as a comedian but now we only ever see him presenting those '100 Best TV Moments That You Missed And Were Crap Anyway' programmes, which is a shame really because they are the only things on TV at the moment.
In fact in years to come will we have Jimmy Carr presenting the '100 Best Clips From The 100 Best ad infinitum....'

He's a great stand-up but not quite so hot on the presenting front. He's quite nifty in a Liana though apparently.

I can understand how the Popeye chin is rather punchable though....

I quite liked his "I'm not gay unless you're from Newcastle where the word gay means 'owns a coat'."

He kind of talks in the same spaced out way as Bliar. Annoying as heck!

I think he's great, got the DVD recently, will post up what i think of it when i watch it!

Watched the Bill Bailey DVD last night, and that was fantastic. Maybe not quite as outright funny as I find Peter Kay but much more clever.
Cheers,
Rob.

I don't find him remotely funny on the whole. His gags just aren't funny. However, I found him funny when he appeared on TopGear and Distraction can be amusing - purely for forfilling the sadistic side of my humour!

horses for courses with comedy. I find him superb, whereas little britain scoops all the comedy awards and I find it lacks any intelligent humour and largely unfunny

I think he's a very funny chap. The bad points people have mentioned, how he speaks etc...part of the act.

As with most conversations like this, if you don't like, it don't watch it!

indeed - part of his humour means it only works if he delivers it in a patronising manner

patronising - you know, talking down to people and explaining things to them in an over simplified way...

I don't find him funny.
Bill bailey, on the other hand, is a living legend.

I think he is very clever and quick witted. When he's asked a question, the answers he comes up with are razor sharp. BTW - he has an interview panel in the latest Top Gear mag - Hilarious!
