Mortgage Application

Has anyone done one of these recently? I am sitting here fairly stunned at the moment.

Did a 2.5hr (unbelievable) application with Nationwide last Friday. They did the valuation this Tuesday and my offer has just been posted!? 7 days!

Last time I did this it took about 6 weeks I seem to remember! I dont think my solicitor has even started the searches yet! Perhaps exchanging before xmas isnt beyond the realms of possibility

The markets must be v.quiet at the moment.

I can beat that, submitted an app on Friday, posted pay slips to lender same day, valuation Monday and Offer issued on the Tuesday

Not HSBC then. Took forever to get our re-mortgage sorted out and a lot of phone calls

Are banks v quite at the moment then? I'm guessing spring will go mental again...

Not sure about the banks but my phone won't stop ringing!!

Thought people bought presents in December, not houses!!
