Nothing against keeping you P&J clean and miles low but where's the pleasure in this? http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/f...

Go see it. Take it for a test drive. Drive through a puddle. Watch the guy quiver.... :-)I'm not sure which I find more perplexing; his ownership of a car that he hasn't driven or his short advert with so many spelling and grammatical errors!
Obviously a bit of a slep.
Edit to add: I can understand how he does not want to put any miles on it because I wouldn't be seen dead in that green monstrosity either.

We have to accept that people buy stuff for different reasons.
This person bought this car to look at it.
I know a person who keeps his sport bike in his living room. He even bought and fitted tuning bits to it. But he never, ever uses it. So it potentially goes faster now, only it does not go at all...
But hey, just how much "use" does anyone get out of a sculpture, or a painting. Same difference I suppose.

Generally I have noticed this tends to happen when people buy a car that they can't really afford, or have virtually their entire life savings invested in. It's almost a form of OCD regarding the cleanliness, looking at some of the concourse vehicles at shows is amazing, it is great to see older cars in such good condition, but to me there can be very little pleasure in ownership as you can't drive the bloody things so what's the point.
Incidentally, my mates parents bought a new set of leather sofas a couple of years ago, they are still in the plastic covers & you can't sit on them.....again, a mild form of mental illness I think & not being able to accept things wear out with use!

They like the fact that's it's their car you think is amazing, and people getting pleasure from what is a hobby to them. I bet they get huge amounts of pleasure from polishing a wheel nut. Nothing wrong with that if that's what they enjoy.Incidentally, my mates parents bought a new set of leather sofas a couple of years ago, they are still in the plastic covers & you can't sit on them.....again, a mild form of mental illness I think & not being able to accept things wear out with use!
It's no different to somebody owning a very expensive watch, and only wearing it on special occasions.

k's sake, the colour is a bit strident, but by all accounts they're a hoot to drive. So drive it.
