New winter shed (Motorway paper salesman material)

Having sold the ZS (through boredom and fear of the engine blowing up) I thought I better get something for shed money that can handle the winter.
So I bought a 318i...

Now I planned to keep this car for a few months but I really rather enjoy driving it. Steering is very direct and for a low powered car it pulls through all the gears lovely. Just the right amount of power for a daily hack imo.
MPG is okay, seats are great, radio is great, everything is great (apart from a small touch of surface rust on the rear arch which you can probably make out in the one photo)
Has everything on the car as standard, full service history, all receipts, still has the little torch in the glove box and first aid/tool kit!

128k miles - £750

I'd struggle to find something better for that money!

Lovely stuff, give the water pump and cooling system a quick service (the only weak point on BMW's IMO ) and your good to go

I know right. Few years back £750 was 1.0 corsa money and now I have this for the same price!

He said it was leaking a few months back but he's got all the certificates to show it being repaired. Still something to keep an eye on though.

Should be a great car, BUT I was told to avoid 318i's for some reason (engine?) so ended up with a 320i.

Engine seems good to me at the moment!

With the shiny steering wheel, get some hand soap and a nail brush and it will clean off the grime so it looks like new. The shiny surface is only hand grease.

Taken a gamble on it not snowing

And it has an 18" wheel in the boot rather than a space saver so there
