Market van butchers
Discussion
Popped into our local town on Saturday and along with all the other market stalls there was one of those butchers that work from a large van. It's the type that sells 'job lots' of meat for £20-£30 and has the loudspeaker system to advertise their offers.
Never really paid much attention to these guys but was wondering how they compare to supermarket or high street butchers. Is the meat any good and do you generally save anything? The only price I noticed was 5lb of rib eye steak for £20, which seemed pretty reasonable?

Is your local town near a racecourse, perchance?Never really paid much attention to these guys but was wondering how they compare to supermarket or high street butchers.
