Discussion
ObvI cannot confirm the exact as I dont have one any more but

thats what I stuck into the M5 (btw it comes up for both m5 and LS3. I had the official OEM new battery and it died in its fist winter, CCA was too low really. I now have a tracker, the car is hardly used and that battery has lasted 2 years and starts first time every time
I always verify the dimensions when picking the battery up but thats what I have and thats what I would reocmmend.

I went to car tonight with ignition on voltage was 11.8 the cranking voltage was 8.8 or so , any thoughts if that's low ? Ian any chance you could check yours for a comparison please cheers Chris
Depends where you are measuring, as volt drop through various wiring can skew readings. But anything below 10v at cranking certainly isnt great.

11.7v at 100% capacity before starting (we have a trickle charger on it at all times), 9.6v when cranking, then back to 14.5v while charging.I think you've got a bad cell in yours. Always shows up when the weather gets cold.

I have a conditioner too but to be honest so long as you drive your car at least once a week you'll be ok without. I also have a boost jumper but instead of it being an insant draw down, you leave it connected for a few minutes to fast trickle - it lowers damage to the cells.
do you have an aftermarket alarm or anything that could be drawing down power?
