Dried Jalepaneo (sp) peppers

So I was given some dried Jalepaneo peppers and I am wondering what to do with them.... Perhaps a sauce of some kind? Any suggestions?

Are they smoked dried Jalapenos, or just regular dried Jalapenos?

Either way, I'd be tempted to blitz them in a blender and make them into chilli flakes, great for livening up pizzas, pasta, mexican dishes etc.

Let us know how hot you manage to make it! and maybe add some different flavours into half the batch? different chilli combo?
