It took me about 10 hours on a DIY basis, most of which was drilling out sheared studs on my 06 Cayman. Anyone with a decent heat torch, grinder tools and happy to wield a big hammer should be able to do it well inside 2 hours if they're familiar with these cars.

Official labour time is 1.77hrs + disassembly to remove the tailpipe at 0.28hrs. I am yet to remove a 987.1 exhaust without resorting to oxy-acetylene due to corroded fixings and replacing the original studs. Care should be exercised obviously - the O2 sensors are very susceptible to damage through impact so the hammer approach is second to locally heating to expand the flanges and remove the studs with minimal force.
