Over the past month or so, I've noticed that Strava is adding miles to my journeys.

For example, yesterday morning my normal 7.7 mile commute was recorded as 10.7 miles and this morning my 2.5 mile journey was recorded as 4.5 miles.

Anyone else having this problem and what did you do to resolve it?

It does some sort of post-processing to the data. I've noticed that the meters climbed usually changes drastically as does the mileage. Do you have a proper measurement of what the distance should really be?

More often it takes them away!

The only case I've seen it adding miles is where the GPS lost signal for a while / I stopped it and re-started somewhere a bit further down the line. In that case I've seen it interpolate/add the straight line distance between those two points (vs what the gps actually recorded moving).

I got home a few weeks ago to find it had turned my 17km commute into a 3,800km epic over land and sea. I did wonder why the Garmin flashed up that I'd dome an 8km 'lap' in 5 minutes, when I uploaded the data at home it had somehow jumped from riding along the side of Lake Zürich to plot a single point in the Shetland Islands, before jumping back to Switzerland. Not a Strava issue I guess, more of a Garmin one but it certainly added some KM!

My Garmin 500 does not seam to like the cold....

Last few rides the displayed average speed looks about correct (17Mph) but the current speed displayed is ridiculous (28-32Mph). After a few miles it "warms up" and starts to display the correct speed.
