Option 902 - Special Check Press Vehicles
Discussion
Hi all,
so I've bought an E46 M3 last week, and had my local BMW dealer print me some vehicle information.
My M3 has the option 902 - Special Check Press Vehicles. I pressume not every one has this? It looks simple, but I'm guessing this was a test vehicle. Production date was 16/10/2000...
What are your opinions? If it was indeed a press vehicle, would this be a good ar a bad thing?
Thanks!

Chances are it will have been used by press when it was new - this could be anything from magazines generating performance runs to part of a launch event fleet.
Good or bad thing? 14 years later there has been plenty of opportunity for others to have caused more harm over the life of the car than the first 6 months of press usage.
Enjoy the car

In fact quite a bit of info if you google option 902

OP if you google the Registration plate you may get hits on the car from old car articles etc.

Well, it wasn't 11 posts down under "M Power", but in "BMW General" :-) And not living in the UK, the topic title didn't mean that much to me...
I Googled it, but didn't really find what I was looking for.
And again, not living in the UK (Belgium in fact), numberplates stay with the owner her, not with the car. My M3 is a left hand drive, newly registered in Spain but imported a few years ago.
Maxus, I guess you're right. Plenty to go wrong (or put right) in 14 years, so I'll just enjoy her and not worry too much :-)
