If like me, you barely check the main page of PH, have a look. Couple of snaps of the current GT car sporting new vents, bigger front arches, wing extensions, new splitter, exhaust & etc.

That isn't the GT car (rollcentre car) that is an M400 - I need those wing ends, how cool are they!

Car looks to be prepared amazingly well, is the front clam wider? looks to be a big gap in front of the door.

Also - is there a slight overhang above the rear window? outcome of the infamous wind tunnel testing?

Rear diffuser looks great but not for a car that may be used on the road!

It's not a M400. The front clam is too wide (look at the gaps between the trailing edge of the clam and the door leading edge), it has additional vents at the bottom of the B pillar and much more significant side air scoops than the M400.

Perhaps it's going to compete in the N-GT class, rather than the Cup?

Anyone happen to notice that the wheels look amazingly like the HRE 540R's I just posted the other day that I put on my car?

It has an M400 badge on the back

It clearly has a different aero package to the standard car with either wider clams or thinner doors (can't work out which) and lots of scoopsventswinglets , I think the new exhaust may be something to do with the longditudal engine install?

This car is our running test-bed for the M14. It includes features such as a longitudinal drivetrain and experimental mods to the bodywork for aero and cooling purposes.

So M12 MkII could be in the pipeline - namely longitudinal being the major difference - I wonder what the gearbox will be...

Simon,
Are the new intakes in the shoulders of the wings in front of the rear wheels for the air intakes or for cooling?

Also the front clam seems to have broader and squarer shoulders?

the doors have different profiles, the cutaway for the old style scoops is flatter and seems to extend down to the floor.

Check out the mirrors.

Larger cooling mesh covered exits on the rear deck extending back either side of the IC duct.

No sils either, flat plate bottoms.

Where are the "ears" that Lee had on his car at Donnington?

Looks absolutely awesome. Any plans to put it into production? I.e. with the modified "12" body rather than 14? The wheels really suit it.

The rear wheel arch still looks a bit "odd", arguably the weakest design point of the M12, and maybe the surface changes are only subtle, but they make the whole car look far more coherent IMO. Maybe it's just the colour scheme, in which case "yes" Stealth-Black should definately be on the option list!

As I mentioned, this car only exists to prove development of the M14, which is our sole priority this year. We have no intention of changing the M12's engine configuration now, or in the future.

There are differences in the bodywork, but - again - this is to test aero and cooling features for the M14, not the M12.

yea yea !!!

everyone buy an M400 then release a new one!!!

M14 is not really a replacement for the M12 given that it's 20-25k more expensive.

Guy, that's right, the M14 was always going to be a grand tourer as opposed to the M12's track readiness. In fact, I can't wait to see Mr. Joust out on a country road in "his" M14 so that I can thrash him in an "R"! :-)

Hmm. GT and racing proven suspension with 12+ months of development vs. a 2 year old design.

Why do you think the M14 is going to be a "grand tourer"? It's pitched against the 911 fair and square, NOT the DB9, BCGT etc...

Sure you aren't getting caught up in the "0-60" max power clan matey

But it is pitched at the 911 Turbo as oppsed to the GT3 that the M12 is aimed at IMO.
