The OH has just informed me that she has lost the second and final key to her Clio (MY 2000) and I'm trying to work out the options. From what I can figure online they are;

Option 1
Get the AA to take it to the local Renault dealer on a flatbed where after a wait of 5 working days to get a new key sent over from France and a bill of £200-ish it's sorted

Option 2
Get one of the mobile replacement set-ups out to do the whole thing all in for £150-ish

Any other suggestions/observations?

Thanks

I bought a Clio 182 a few weeks ago with one key. Garage hired a 'bloke with a van' and 40 mins later and £160 plus VAT it was made.

It's Not a perfect key but does the job. Always best to have a spare!

Thanks. Out of interest what's "not perfect" about it?
