Buying a US spec LHD 993 Carerra S

Hi Guys,
I'm about ready to pull the pin on my first Porsche and am off to test drive a US spec 993 Carrera S on Saturday - I live in Switzerland so needs to be LHD. I understand there are some fairly major differences between the U.S. 993's and the ROW models. Does anyone on here own a U.S. model and can share some general experiences? I am interested in whether or not getting parts and servicing was a problem or whether you would hold out for a European mode if you were to do it again. Any comments appreciated.
