The key reason for so many warranty return LSA chargers on eBay.com is a problem with the isolator coupling.

Am hopefully gonna swap to a heartbeat in the next year or so, so will keep an ear on it in the meantime. Seems to say that the newer ones have the upgraded bit in already so may have to have a look.
