Since i bought mine in may

450 on repairing a busted fuel pipe and exhaust bolts from running over a spent lorry tyre at 70odd
100 on servicing
150 on diagnosing ste running
2500 on a forged build to remedy the aforementioned ste running

Picked the car up 42 months ago. Audo A4 3.0V6 convertable

Clutch/DMFW 1500 (IIRC)
PAS Pump 350
Battery 200 including AA call out fee
Fule Pump 500

So 60 pounds a month. Had several services in that time, but generally only the cost of oil and filters at a non Audi guy, so not too much.

As I have done 60K+ mils in that time, the next big bill will be timing belt after xmas.

2007 R55 MINI owned for 3.5 years and almost 30,000 miles.

Other than consumables (tyres, wipers and brakes), fuel and servicing - it has cost me nothing.

Does its heavy oil consumption count? In which case, I have spent £210 in 'extra' oil.

Bought in June 2013 for €500
€390 in various parts and servicing (includes having the clutch done by a mechanic)
€2500 in petrol yikes

Fixed costs are only €11/month insurance and €30/month road tax.

I've done nearly 19,000 km in it and yes, I have a spreadsheet silly

Just had a look. I suggest I take the TVR off your hands and you keep the JCW. This should even things up a bit.

Mercedes W202 220CDi Estate Auto

Owned for 13 years but now sold at 250,000.

Two front springs £350
Aircon compressor £800 in c regassing
Two injectors at £800

Total repairs £1,950

Nothing else except for consumables and servicing. Also a W124 230E before it kept for 8 years and which cost nothing in 160,000 miles.

We'll see how the S204 compares, but with all the electronics I'm not as hopeful.

2011 Ford S-Max 2.0t Ecoboost 240, bought in Feb 2012 with 9,600 miles on the clock and now showing 58K.

1 x MOT @ £50
2 x Michelin Primacy tyres @ £152 each = £304
4 x Toyo Snowprox winter tyres @ £92 each = £368
4 x Nokian WRA3 winter tyres @ £119 each = £476
4 x dealer services @ £956
2 x wiper blades @ £22 each = £44

Total so far = £2,198 / 34 months = £65 per month.

2005 Saab 9-5 2.0t Estate, bought in May 2012 with 61,000 on the clock and now showing 86K.

2 x MOT @ £96
1 x remapped ECU @ £95
1 x battery @ £47
4 x Continental 830 winter tyres @ £60 each = £240
2 x services @ £308
2 x wiper blades @ £8 each = £16
2 x headlight bulbs @ £6 each = £12
1 x rear light bulb @ £5
Discs and pads all-round and front suspension bushes = £312

Total so far = £1,331 / 31 months = £43 per month.

So £108 per month to keep two cars on the road, minus fuel and insurance of course, which I don’t think is too bad considering the amount of miles covered, plus a big chunk of the costs are winter tyres, which is a personal choice.

1992 Mitsubishi express, bought in 2002.
Replaced water pump, diff, exhaust manifold and front shocks myself.
Paid for top end overhaul.
Not too bad for 12 years and 120,000 km.

1987 Toyota MR2, bought in 2008.
Fitted new suspension, brakes, rust removed, respray, 6 speed gearbox and 20v motor modified and fitted, alarm and immobiliser, aircon rebuilt, windows tinted, etc, etc
I stopped counting at $10,000 (not including labour, because I didn't pay for any).

1 day old and I guess I lost the tax I paid on it as I drove it off the forecourt! Well worth it though. Still haven't burnt the free tank of fuel yet so haven't even paid for any fuel biggrin

2007 Audi A3 2.0 TDI 170 with DSG - owned since February 2014

Covered approx. 24,500 miles so far this year.

1)Full service - £206
2)New battery - £118
3)MOT - £40
4)4x New springs + fitting - £258
5)Rear pads & discs - £90
6)2x Oil top up bottles - £32
7)Gearbox oil change - £167
8)4x New Tyres - £389.56
9)2x wheel alignment - £120
10)Full service + cambelt change - £350

Total = £1671, so £167.10 a month, or ~7p/mile

If I add depreciation, its a lot nastier to look at

Edit:

Insurance has cost me £440 so far
Tax - £175
Depreciation - £1800ish
Diesel - £3010.55

Which gives a grand total of £5617.63 (£7417.63 inc. depreciation)

So 23p/mile (30p/mile inc. depreciation)
