slow starter

Ok so I have just registered but I have been into the motor scene since I was a kid which is some weeks ago now. My budget has always been nothing to what's left at the end of the month. Accordingly I have never really achieved my dreams. But I want to race, the only trouble is that the MSA have massively over estimated my bank balance. But I see pictures on this forum of soft top cars without cages being driven fast. So where the hell do I take my rag top V8 (just a road car) without selling my children?

Surely just a arrive and drive sort of thing at castle Combe or llandow or simular

if you want to race then you need all the msa stuff and your car has to comply with some rules.
if you just want to use /enjoy your car then any track day will be fine
