Have almost reconciled in my head to part with my 2011 RS6 Estate, and am looking at an E63 AMG Estate as a replacement.

I've been looking at lease deals, but they seem back up a little again at the moment so this doesn't make it as great a deal as it might have been. However, dealers are offering £9.5k contribution on their Agility finance at the moment, bringing a new car down from £75k to £65k... and versus the equivalent newer RS6 that's quite a lot of car for the money!

I took out a black E63 on Thursday, which is up on the forecourt for £62k-£63k. Jan '14 car with only about 3500 miles on it - but even so, at this price, it doesn't stack up well against just getting a new one.

So does anyone know what 'new' ('14) cars are currently ACTUALLY selling for (i.e. what it might be possible to beat the dealer down to on a 2nd hand car) or am I wasting my time 2nd hand and it really would be better to buy new?

Broadspeed are listing a £12,995 discount on a new one at the moment, £62,910 for one via them (DTD are within a few £100 of that as well so I'd be reasonably confident with that number).

I'd forgotten to look at Broadspeed - that's useful to know.

Until the end of the month, I work for a company which provides communications services to one of the larger of the UK dealer groups, so I'm trying to leverage some contacts to drive a bargain. I'd hope to be able to get the very best deal possible, but it is hard to guage what that deal really it.

Broadspeed very useful link though, so thanks for that.

I think they should be good for up to 20% discount, but MB are pulling back on some discounts now that sales volumes are increasing overall.

20% off a new car, or 20% off that used one?

If the price for that Jan '14 Estate dropped to start with a 4 rather than a 6, I might sway towards it - especially as a brand new one is available without haggling for £62k. Yes, so the used one has a couple of options on it, but the dealers always say the options are worth nothing at trade-in time, so I don't consider them worth anything to me as a customer either. They can't argue it both ways!
