Tasteful 964 upgrades

Looking to make tasteful upgrades to my 964 to modernise but maintain the originality as much as possible. What upgrades would people recommend
So far it's had a engine rebuild, new suspension, head unit, sigma alarm etc.. and today I dropped it in for bright bulb kit (not the xenons as they can mess with radio reception) and upgraded windscreen wipers (safety first). Going to replace the rear corner brake lights at some point too but after the full service cost has been forgotten
What else should be on the list?

When you say modernise whilst keeping originality do you not intend to fit anything but Porsche parts? When you changed the suspension for example is it standard equipment but new?
To me mordenising classics is things like improving the brakes to bigger discs/multi pot calipers from a new model, upgrading the exhaust & intake systems, anti roll bars and adjustable suspension, strut/under body bracing & geometry components. Taking it further trying to extract a bit more power out of a older (but in your case rebuilt) motor by utilising improvements like fully electronic ignition systems or reprogrammed ECUs which help performance and reliability.
Really though you need to decide if you want easily reversible modifications that can enhance the driving/looks right now whilst potentially adding some value or can be swapped back when/if you come to sell.

t to drive compared to modern metal but still maintains the visual character of a 964 I think is the best option.

When I say modernise I mean adapt the car modern needs or habits, typically by installing modern equipment or adopting modern ideas or methods and the originality point was I don't want to lose too much of the 964 character look and feel.
In terms of Porsche parts not necessarily but I wouldn't want to put on non porsche oem wheels as an example.

You need to tell us if it is a C2, C4, tip, cab, targa etc? The reason being that if it's an early C2 I would suggest you upgrade the rear brakes to 4 pots like on the C4. However if it's already a C4 there would be no point in suggesting that!

In that case, definitely do the rear brake upgrade. It will give you more choice of brake pads because the original small 2 pot brakes only have a limited choice.
Also check your engine mounts. If original they are likely sagging and worn out. Fitting new mounts really sharpens up how the rear of the car feels. Many use the mounts off the 993C4 as they're about half the price of 964 mounts. If you want the rear to be even sharper then fit 964RS mounts. However there will be more NVH with the latter.

I would chenge the mounts to solid ones, Gear changes are more direct, fit bigger brake discs and callipers,
change the pads to Pagid RS14,
Front disc cooling by adding the front bumper air inlets,
suspension upgrade KW V3, H&R anti roll bars,
look at removing the old exhaust system & replace with a nice tuned system ?
