Aaargh - local road maintenance schedule

You really couldnt make this up
As one of the minority of PH'ers who wear sandals and a cardie and work for the public sector I have split loyalties

The local arterial out of town was in a shocking condition until Easter when it was treated to a lovely refurb resulting in a beautiful new surface on which a gent could have a game of croquet (if he was careful hammering his hoops in) or perhaps a game of billiards. Or snooker
And guess what?
Yes indeedy, the useless t
ts at wherever they are based initiated a program of manhole and drain replacement this week digging up every piece of metalwork with a one metre radius around it and filling in the gaps with the most amateurishly laid tarmac I have ever seen
Im speechless, but then again at the same time it doesnt surprise me either
