Been trawling the classifieds in all the on-line forum for months and am now really exasperated.

It seems hard to spend money these days when dealers don't call u back, give out clearly incorrect info. and broker cars where they cant get hold of the owner. Or the price is just in fantasy territory.

If anyone knows a nice standard earlyish car out there, pref with manual box from a decent private owner, who at least has been blessed with a smidgen of common courtesy and hasn't tracked it to death please advise them there are nice buyers with the funds out there in the ether.

I am really tired of off-hand "doing me a favour" dealers who expect me to make all the calls and gather all the info and travel long distances on the off-chance the car is not a dog knowing most of their descriptions should be entered in the Booker prize for fiction as it shows an extraordinary sense of creative imagination only very loosely related to the real world. And even getting the info is like pulling teeth.

Tried a wanted advert on Owners Club website ?

Spoken to Tim Walker ?

Any other criteria apart from manual ? I'm guessing Modena given how many Spiders are advertised - colour ?

Can I DITTO that OrangeLP400, having the very same problem looking for an F355, prices at Slade's in Penn are in fantasy land, no point crying over spilt milk but should have purchased last year,

Looking for an F355 in red, manual, GTS or tin top, same applies, non tracked, caring owner etc etc

Sorry, hope I haven't highjacked your thread, good luck with your 360 search!!

Why the worry about whether a car has been "tracked"? Sure, track use means that tyres and pads will need replacing sooner but, assuming that there have been no accidents, a track day doesn't hurt a Ferrari - it positively does it good.

You should still give him a call and at least register some interest.

I was on the other side of the fence a few months ago and was mulling over whether to sell mine and contacted Tim for some advice. In the end I decided to hold on to mine but I am sure there will be others like me who have done similar and it may be that you can end up in the right place at the right time.

+1.....I considered selling a while back and I spoke to Tim.
The car came from him and will probably go via him.....
He may not have any 360 stock but he knows most of the cars around and it is worth registering an interest.
When I was looking he found a car in the colour and spec I wanted quickly. In fact too quickly as I was a few grand short at the time....

Nearly all the private sale cars disappeared the last few months, I wonder if owners are keeping them till the sun reappears?

+ another one. In the end I bought privately, although the car was on Tim's website. He said he knew the car well, and that I would be wasting money going through his garage. Since then he has been more than helpful. Top bloke.

A friend sold his immaculate 360 spider a few yrs ago through Tim Walker & the car didn't even get to listed on the Web before being sold....you need to explain what you are after as I'm sure some cars are almost 'brokered' with the market as it has been in 2014. Tim also use to do PPIs in case you find one privately.
