And a belated happy new year to you all.

I am currently here for 3 months to see whether or not I can put up living with "me bird"... and put up with all these Americans...

So to everyone and all the best for 2005

There is rather a few coffee shops... Like the Starbucks next to Seattles best, opposite another Starbucks...

I dont think people here can cross streets...

Do they have Biro shops? Just so you can buy supplies for stabbing car buyers...

Ahhh, Seattle!

Same latitude as London (ok, close), none of the warm ocean currents to moderate the climate, hence the birthplace of Starbucks and Depression-Metal/Rock.

Gets more annual rainfall than some tropical islands, with none of the benefits.

Very nice skiing all over the place, Vancouver is close, decent-ish rock climbing close to the coast with the Tetons, Rockies and California really close.

Also home to some of the most extreme anti-car/business, Hemp wearing(and smoking), tree-hugging, braided-armpit-hair, Lesbo, Enviro-Nazi Greenies you will ever come across.

Some of the most amazing fishing, both fresh and salt-water, I have ever seen! Beautiful scenery, some great roads thru the mountains and what seems to be an entirely different country to the East of the mountains- semi-arid, desert landscape.

Very beautiful, I just could not stand 82 straight days of rain and not seeing the Sun once during that time, when I was there.

But, I was not in love, which makes many things trivial.

All the best,

Dave

Good luck matey - been wondering where you'd got to.

In the same time period I've upped and moved to the Emerald Isle. Without doubt the best move I've ever made.

Hope it all works out for you and great to see you posting again!
