Following a comment in the Juke NISMO thread where a poster remarks that he wants his OH to buy one, what cars do you like, but would never buy yourself, but want your OH to buy so you can occasionally enjoy it?

For me, a previous gen 130i (or 125i coupe) is something I'm trying to convince my GF would be ideal to replace her MINI. I'd never buy one myself, I like big squodgy saloon cars too much, but it would be a hoot to drive every so often. Much like her MINI is now.

Female Logic!

“Yes” = No
“No” = Yes
“Maybe” = No
“I’m sorry” = You’ll be sorry
“We need” = I want
“It’s your decision” = The correct decision should be obvious by now
“Do what you want” = You’ll pay for this later
“We need to talk” = I need to complain
“Sure go ahead” = I don’t want you to
“I’m not upset” = Of course I’m upset, you moron!

“You’re so manly” = You need a shave and you sweat a lot
“Be romantic, turn out the lights” = I have flabby thighs
“This kitchen is so inconvenient” = I want a new house
“I want new curtains” = and carpeting, and furniture, and wallpaper
“I heard a noise” = I noticed you were almost asleep
“Do you love me?” = I’m going to ask for something expensive
“I’ll be ready in a minute” = Just going to wash my hair
“You have to learn to communicate” = Just agree with me
“Are you listening to me!?” = Too late, you’re dead
“How much do you love me?” = I did something you’re going to hate

Audi TT MK1

For some reason I quite like them but couldn't live the abuse my mates would give me if I got one

Mini Cooper / Cooper S.

I think they're fantastic little cars, but blokes just don't look right in them. No matter how much stick-on tat, spoilers etc adorn the outside!

the OH is not really into cars but always wanted a light blue Mini. I may have told her the light blue only came in cooper s format when she would have been happy with a one.
She does like the S now though, even if it cost twice as much as a one lol.

Slightly awkward thing being the guy who works in the unit next to us has a one in the same colour so I have been rumbled.

I bought the wife a Blue 182 Cup pack for her birthday prezzie 10 years ago.

Id never have bought it for myself, but I did take it on some trackdays when my car was unavailable.

I bought my ex wife a Nissan Micra 160SR. It was so much fun to drive my C Class became her daily driver whilst the Nissan Became mine. That's right. Nissan Micra is more pleasurable driving experience than a C Class Mercedes.

Weird because my Mrs wants a Yeti (if she ever lets go of her ancient diesel Audi A4) and I would rather she didn't. If she ends up with one wehne we move down to your part of the world I'll make sure you have a drive. smile

I'd like her to drive an old Range Rover.

I Rented a C4 grand Picasso thing for ferrying American (too scared to drive on the wrong side) work colleagues and gear round ( oh, and we just happened to be taking a load of gardening stuff to the tip)
Missus loved it.she thought it was Comfortable, cool looking at the front, loved the high up driving position and captains chairs.

I vaguely tried to steer her towards an E46 M3 before we got the Octavia, but to be honest he Octavia is a better car for our needs.
