L200 fuel cap.

I have booked a hire car through Hertz with work and asked for a focus/octavia size car and have ended up with a L200 Trojan double cab.

Anyway that is besides the point, as I use hire cars regularly I always check what side the fuel cap is on prior to returning and filling up and on this I can't open it. There is no levers or buttons in the cab and when you press it it depreses but doesnt open as if it is jammed.

Does this sound normal as a quick google returns a few stories of it sticking or am I missing an obvious button somewhere?

If its fooked then its going back that way just want to make sure before I tell the guy on the desk and he easily opens it.
