Tuscan Brake Upgrade

I know you can't fit the tuscan brakes as a complete kit to front of the Griff, but someone on here made up some bellhousings/Disks/brackects and used low mileage tuscan calipers. Who was it? Any ideas guys/gals?

Think he was a dutch guy (but maybe that's just me imagining it !!)

I am interested as I have the calipers but need the rest of the kit.

His name is Hans Daalhuizen, a member of the Dutch TVR Club, for more info look at adres below. He gets al his stuf from the UK so for you guys this must be realy simple to get hold of.

I have a set from Hans as I've known him for 3 years or so through Zolder and know how well he makes kits.

Jellison has a kit from Hans as well. I can honestly say that the brackets and bellhousing/rotars are the best I have ever had from an upgrade kit. The calipers tend to be the 'eared' later type Tuscan calipers.

Mine should go on next weekend as I get the car back from the bodyshop.

This is Hans email address, I'm sure he won't mind if he has any kits left, just got to think about what to do about the rear calipers now ??!!

I would be very interested as to what this upgrade costs,
For 330mmx32mm rotors,6 pot Wilwood callipers with fast road pads,custom bell's&brackets and braided lines, 1500 UKP fitted.The car now stops on a sixpence!

Tuscan brakes look awesome. Personally, I'm very happy with my HiSpeed brakes (310 front, 300 rear).

Everything was custom made,i'll get some info off to you next week,its hectic down here and the second car to receive the LS6 transplant has just arrived today.
I was thinking off making a kit too,but it really needs individual requirements to suit each wheel application to get the most out of the brakes.
If you go to the "LS1 into a Chim" thread in TVR general gassing,you'll see pics of my brakes.

Trying to get a deal on the 300mm tar-ox 6 pot upgrade (but you will need 16" front wheels). I will post the price. It will be cheaper than list (hopefully by some margin).

I seem to be the only one outside the first person in Germany that has actually got Hans kit on the car. Did it over Xmas and they are ABSOLUTELY AWESOME - Anyone wants to see them - I'm at the ACE tonite. Not next month as LS6 will been a month out from ACE'ing it.

Not that mine are Hans's kit but that makes at least two of us with Tuscan brakes then Rich...

Soon all, soon all ..... get the car back next week from bodyshop so dead chuffed, will spend Saturday detailing the new paintwork (read 8hrs of cleaning, sealing, glazing and waxing) and then on Sunday I will hopefully be fitting Hans' kit ...... try it out Sunday evening on way back from Norfolk.

Will get pictures of the install up next week..

Johno - they take alot of bleeding. I did a 4 wheel total bleed (swapped all to braided hoses). Went out - NO Brakes - 3 miles driving slow - re beld all and this time Perfect and Awesome. If not fitting braided hoses (took me a month to get all the hoses and banjos fittings) then it will be a piece of piss and only a few hours it that.

Thanks Jon, I've got braided all round at the moment and have just got replacement Banjo's fittings for the front, although I am not totally confident that they fit as well as they should.

Do you know what the Banjo sizes should be exactly, as mine seem a little too loose in the thread and I am left wondering what they will be like under heavy pressure !?

Richard, are you still tinkering with that "Griff" of yours? Is it stil a Griff? There can't be many original parts left on it by now
