Had some spare time so thought i redo my Speedline wheel in the proper way.
Valve in the right place, polish the outer rim and acid etch the "Speedline for Porsche".
Assembled it with new bolts/nuts.
Think it looks oke, now only three to go.
Some pictures.

Well, time for an update:
All four wheels done now, took a little bit longer due to the cold weather and two little cracks
in the inside rim of a back wheel which had to be welded.
Did put new rubber on the back wheels too.
Now waiting for the weather to clear up.

That looks lovely, you must be chuffed. I looked long and hard for about a year to buy a 3.6 about ten years ago, bought a 993tt instead but sometimes wonder if I should have hung on when I see pictures like that ( ignoring the huge price difference now of course!!)

Thanks. Very happy with the result, can look at the wheels for hours.
Had a 993T for seven years, but needed something more challenging so changed it for a 996 GT2.
Bought the 964 just in time, before they got expensive.

Thanks for the compliment.
You better polish your Speedlines yourself, it's much more rewarding.

Good job, but it looks like you didnt refit with speedline bolts. I hope you didn't throw the speedline bolts away.

You're correct, but they had already other bolts.
Original Speedline bolts are to expensive for me.
Saw Speedline bolts on E-bay 10 bolts for €160,00 and you need 160 of them.
But i'm happy with my new shiny bolts.

Just recieved a package from England. 4 Original aluminium center caps for the Speedlines, they just
need a bit of cleaning/polishing. After that i can replace the plastic 993 center caps.
Me so happy.

For the Speedline refurb, there are new seals available in the USA.

@Asterix Thanks
@RSVP911 It's a rubber seal(orange)between the inner-outer rim.
Looking at the photo of your new car, the Speedlines need metal valves.
