I have ordered a new MK2s due to be delivered in March. In the reflex charcoal and I have changed the spec so that the boot lid is the MK2, and not the deep whale tail. Can anyone tell me about the ride and road holding of the MK2s Unfortunately I have not yet been able to drive the new MK2s?
I'm hoping for a much better quality finish. the one I have seen in the showroom does look better finished product has anybody found any irritants on the car or is it still to early to tell.

Lady topaz I had not read your report until now. I found it to be most informative its shame you’re having so many issues with the indicators. The engine shut down sounds like a more serious problem and I have read that others have had the same experience. I do hope this will be sorted before mine is delivered. Time will tell. Interesting your comment on the whale tail when I first saw the car before ordering I thought it lacked reasoned design (not only for air flow) and would collect water I understand its about a pint each side which if you don't clear first goes straight into the boot. That’s the reason I asked for my car to be fitted with the MK2 boot lid. I am pleased that there appears to be no handling problems in town and that it’s more like my 350 well planted.
Sorry Dave didnt mean to be rude. Yeah I think the thread title should be changed and I have requested this. With rgds to the 'Whale tail', my other half tested it when full of water, and upon lifting it the water just ran straight down the side channels. It actually cleared a lot of the usual crap that is hard to get at. More by luck than judgement I am sure, no water went into the boot. Stupid design, but it does work.
