Opening whatever fizz has been sat around waiting for an occaision (although with Southampton doing so well a lot of that has gone my dad's way the last year).
Having an excuse to open 20+ year old Scotch.
An expensive trip to the butchers and fishmongers.
the sweet treats dont really do anything for me, its just lots of butter and sugar.

Seafood got a freshly cooked Selsey lobster and some scottish langoustine for dinner tonight
Pigs in blankets absolutely love them and make my own using my local butchers chipolata and smoked streaky bacon - xmas tip stretch the bacon out using a spatula this will help them stay neatly wrapped up.

Mulled wine and pigs in blankets. I've made up 50 pigs in blankets and I cook them up in batches of 10-15 throughout the day to snack on. Oh and the crispy bacon off the turkey later on tonight
Lots of nuts and crisps, champagne, wine, whisky and beer on the day too.
Merry Christmas everybody.
