Focus bike reputation/quality?

Just ordered a Focus Cyclocross bike and although I can’t find anything negative on the brand I was wondering what other people’s views was on their bikes.

I get the impression that you get quality and they aren’t over-rated but was just curious. Either way I have made my decision now and have ordered the bike, just need to wait for it to arrive.

I've had one of the original Cayo carbon roadie's since about 2009 mate, it's a great bit of kit. Was an ex demo one from Wiggle who used to be one of my customers, so got a mega deal on it, 105/ Ultegra kit on it. No problems with it ever, would certainly think you'll have no issues at all :-)

I was just looking at a Cayo this morning in Sigma Sport, the guys in there were saying that they are great bikes and they have very few issues with them.
Bloody good prices for the spec compared to bigger brands.

My wife has one. Apart from a minor problem with gearing setup, it has been faultless. Once adjusted, the gears were fine. Was good value at the time. Gratuitous photo.

I have a 2009 MY Ultegra Sl equipped Cayo and it's been good. I've raced it with some fast wheels on and have completed day long rides without discomfort. It cost me £1200 in December '09 from Wiggle, seems absurd value now. My impression is that Focus have improved their kit dramatically since then but I suppose that's what they want you to think with pro team sponsorship etc.

I have a 2014 cayo 2 and love it, so far it's been very reliable, also quite rare in the great scheme of things, enjoy the new bike

They're cross bikes should be very sorted the founder of Focus bikes is Mike Kluge, an ex cyclocross world champion, the bikes have superb mud clearance. Know a couple of lads who've got them and they seem happy on them.
