Hi guys.

Firstly, merry christmas to everyone. smile

I have a quick questions about audio connectivity for my desk. I have:-

Inputs
A laptop with a standard headphone socket (3.5mm?)
An Xbox one which plugs into a monitor via HDMI, the monitor then has a headphone socket audio output (no speaker)

Output
A pair of speakers with a headphone socket for "line in"
A pair of wireless headphones with the same line in

Questions is, is it possible to take both inputs and push them to both outputs. The reason being, I might want audio from either device on the speakers during the daytime whilst I am working, but would prefer to have audio from either device to my headphones when my son is asleep in the next room! I am more than happy to switch off the output device that i'm not using at the time, and I'm nor worried about cross-over from the two inputs as they are rarely on at the same time!

I can't find a coupler that does this at all online. Googled it, ebay, everything. Unless I have the terminology wrong? If it can't be done for some reason, is there another way to achieve what I want?

Cheers all

Mr Pointy

What you probably looking for is a 2x2 audio switcher/matrix or a 2x1 with multiple outlets. Kramer have a range of boxes but audio only is not easy to find:

This has four inputs & routes the selected one to four outputs:

This is a full 4x4 matrix but video & audio which probably makes it expensive:

here's another possibility:

The keywords to search for are matrix, router, switch or selector.
