I’ve been thinking about novel and unique ideas for TV programmes – to be broadcast at peak times. My ideas include:

Help a couple find a new house

Help a couple to decorate their house

Help a couple improve their garden

A couple get help cleaning their new house

Help a couple to sell their house

I suppose it is possible that someone has come up with similar ideas, but I've never seen anything like the above on TV. Or have i?

With a slight modification it might just work.

Help a 1st time buying couple find a new house they can afford.

Help a couple to decorate their house without resorting to cheap MDF tat, stupid paper lampshades that are fire hazards and two tone painted walls.

Help a couple improve their garden after the BBC crew have ploughed it all up get their equipment in, provided the house they can afford has a garden in the first place.

A couple get help cleaning their new house after the BBC camera crew and production staff have left it looking like Baghdad on a bad day.

Help a couple to sell their house because you've f'cked it up for them and they hate it, you, the BBC, the paper lampshades that caught fire and bloody B&Q and it's endless MDF.

And of course if it was Channel 4 it would be a gay or lesbian couple and they would probably install Webcams for a 24hour "webwatch" on E4 as part of their reality series of programming tripe with Davina Mcall on site and June Sarpong & Herman Munster in the studio providing (poorly scripted) links during breaks for Hollyoaks.

Boss mentioned something he saw on telly over the weekend...

Something about a round-the-clock channel that features... Wait for it...

Round the clock footage of people watching TV!!!

In the words of The Jam - That's entertainment!

I think my boss was probably drunk at the time, mind you - He was probably just watching Big Brother.

Or he was just watching a clean telly that was turned off and it was himself he was watching
