Jeep independent in the Midlands?
Discussion
I have a few issues with my 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee, the MIL light coming on and registering a P0700 code which is a generic transmition fault, seems I need to hook it up to a DRB-III scanner to interrogate the codes in the TCM to tell me what’s the actual fault is…
Anyone know of an independent in the midlands, preferably near Wolverhampton?

Had this exact same problem with my GC a while ago, first thing to check is the condition of your battery. Trans module will throw this code if the cranking voltage is too low during startup.
Changed the battery on. Mine, cleared the code with ODB reader and all was fine.

Are recommended on Jeep club UK and in Shrewsbury but I personally have no experience of them.

Thanks for that, they are about 30 miles away, but their diagnostic charge is cheaper than the local dealer, who I don't have a lot of confidence in...
Will give them a call next week
