Hi folks,

After some help. Been reading through a few posts regarding Duratec engined Caterham's to get up to speed on car I bought back in September. Confused as to what is classed as a C400 or C500.

Thought it was a C400 but after checkling out a few posts not sure now. I have bought a 2010 Caterham Superlight with a 235bhp raced prepared Minister Duratec engine. I have seen posts stating that C400 is 210bhp and C500 is 260bhp but also couple of Miniister cars on Caterham site for sale quoting C500 Minister with 230bhp. Understand about Bhp per ton etc but generally speaking is a Superlight with 235bhp a C400?

Mine has certified race engine in it but not been raced AFAIK but not sure who built the car as owner bought it from Meridian Modena but didn't have much info on it. I have mailed them to see if I get get more info on spec etc.

Excellent condition with only 3500 miles. Anyone know KT10 VDR?

Does it really matter whether you call it a 400 or 500?
It must really shift with that engine, it just needs someone to put some miles on it............have fun biggrin

Downsman,

Only matters as far as would like to know a bit more about the cars history and for getting right spec for correct oil, spares etc. Hopefully get more info from previous owners.

Done 3 track days and a few runs on road and 3 more track days planned for next year. Defo fast and much more reliable than my BEC Fury R1 was.
