Bodysjop/Smart Repair - Midlothian

My neighbour 3 doors down came to the door tonight.

Rather than walk 50m to deliver a xmas present, he drove his old Micra to my next door neighbours and then tried to reverse on icy monoblock...and reversed into Mrs Chimp's C3 Picasso! .

The rear passenger door is pushed in a bit, with at least 1 small kink (it was dark) and a few deeper scratches.

Would a Smart repair work for this? Or are we better to use a decent local bodyshop?

I see we have Smart-Tech in Loanhead which is about 5 mins away from the house.

Mrs Chimp needs to stay mobile as she looks after her elderly parents so car can't be away without a courtesy car.

I seem to recall there being a guy in Penicuik who worked for AutoRestore - do they do a decent job?

Personal recommendation preferred.

DH Autosprayers in Bonnyrigg seem popular and do a lot of cars, I'm not sure if they do repairs other than paint though. Willowbrae coachworks used to do lots of work for the local Audi dealer when I worked there (so are probably good) and seem to have a well set up operation. They also have courtesy cars iirc

My vote would be for WIllowbrae Coachworks.

I put a Lotus there at Murray recommendation, after someone drove into mine in a van - 10 minutes after they'd hired it!
