Game is sufficiently random so the games are always close and always tricky to predict the winner

Each set only lasts a few minutes, preventing boredom..

Good for the brain ("19, double 17 to finish?")

You'll never be jealous of the player's fitness or physique

Beer never far away..

Who doesn't get an adrenalin rush when the camera zooms in on two treble 20s? "One hundred and eeeeeeight-eeee!"

Great stuff

I love darts... it's just so, great. No likelihood of catching a racial slur off-tape, no dodgy stuff going on... it's just a perfectly normal (yet somewhat random) TV slot to watch.

I always wonder though, what the yanks would think if they watched the Lakeside champs
