Was out in Leeds just before I came home and saw the ultimate chav mode of transport, actually had to sit down I was so out of breath laughing at it!

A 50cc scooter, with blue neons underneath it!
It looked so unbelievably ridiculous!

Anyone beat that!

Had been tempted to do something like this last summer. Thought better of it in the end. Was going to make some tin foil spinners and try to fit a cardboard body complete with spoiler with mock carbon fibre detailing. Probably £50 well saved in the grand scheme of things...

A mate of mine went to a Max Power meet with all the cardboard bits stuck and had the boot open to resemble a spoiler.

I found out how they took it.

Oh for fk sake!

A scooter with Neons does NOT immediatley equate CHAV!

Personally, I think it sounds rather cool.

A Vauxhall Corsa, or a Nissan Micra with a personal plate, perhaps...?

I saw a young chav on one of those .. to make it even worse - he did not even have a helmet on talk about a good way to draw attention to yourself.

today on the commute to work i saw a Purple Maxxed / Laxxed Nissan Micra with roof spoilers/Lexus style lights alloys graphics /big bore et al whose driver gesticulated he wanted to race my M5......

...I nearly crashed in the staff car park as my eyes were stinging with tears and i'd got stomach ache from laughing so much not to mention earache from his 'big bore' exhaust.......

where do they come from?

Ah, fair point
The Corsa is gone now I tell you, I'm only on the insurance for it in case my mate can't drive it for whatever reason!!

Well, if that's the case then I reckon it's about time I gave a middle-fingered salut to PH.

No other motoring forum I have came across, has displayed the sheer blinkered ignorance than PH.

I'm sick of it. So if I bought a cool wee scooter and stuck a pair of neons under it for fun, I'm assumed a Chav by the PH population?

ie I'm assumed to be a benefit scrounging, theiving, no-good-for-nothing piece of scum just because I have a scooter with fing neons?!

Well there is a Mk V Escort doing the rounds in West Yorkshire with what looks like a mock-up of a Tuscan front end nailed onto its bonnet.

Definitely the most shockingly sht vehicle I've ever seen but not sure if it beats the scooter.

ApexClipper - IMHO neons are not chav, they are of the maxxer inclination, whether on a few hundred quid's worth of scooter, or a Lambo Murkylager (as in that one in the Windsor area). The majority of PH-ers do take the proverbial when it comes to neons, but there's no need to take it to heart

I saw a picture of that tus-cort...wow, what a mess.

Every other scooter I see these days has neons stuck to it, I suppose there's only so much modding you can do to one of those things....

No, you'd be a sad 16 yr old laxxer-wannabe

I think a lot of people equate chav with laxxer these days, simply because quite a few chavs choose to (badly) maxx-up their wheels. And to be fair, there is a bit of overlap between these two social groupings.
