I'm after a new watch as a 25th wedding anniversary present for myself and seen the a Omega Speedmaster Broad Arrow 1957 in a dealers on sale from £4330 to £3465 - dealer is prepared to give it for £3400 - I love the look and feel of the watch but I'm also smitten by the Tudor Chrono Grandtour in grey at £2750 - can't get a discount on that price. Both are on metal bracelets.

I'm torn between the 2 any advice would be greatly appreciated?

Thanks.

Hello mate,

My opinion for what it''s worth...the Broadarrow is trying too hard to be a Daytona.....if you want that, look at a Tudor Prince date which at least has Rolex heritage.

I think the Grantour looks beautiful and is a stand alone design in its own right. I think it looks especially nice on the leather strap.

Personally I would go for the Tudor, which i imagine less people will recognise, then use the change to put towards and Omega Moon Watch (one of the properly iconic Omegas)

Thanks for the feedback - it's appreciated.
I must admit the Tudor appealed to me as soon as it first came out. I was swayed by the badge for the Omega.
Just spoken to Dominic H and it looks like he can do me a great deal on the Tudor so will get it ordered in the New Year.

Both good watches, from well respected firms.

You have to decide which one YOU prefer, but personally as the Tudor is less common, that would be my choice.
