Good compact camera that uses aa batteries?

Morning all,
Does anyone know of a decent compact digital camera that allows the use of aa batteries, as we are looking to do some traveling soon away from any power supplies etc (inca trail etc) and worry about the rechargeable battery dying and not being able to be recharged.
Cost wise, up to about £250 or so.

Tricky one, I had a quick look and found some Nikon compacts that take them, you'll be limited to bridge (shudder 
) cameras mostly. Depends what you want out of it, those may be more than good enough; I wouldn't personally want either type of camera for such a use, and would be looking at a high-end compact.
Those will all have proprietary batteries, but its still worth looking into, they don't have to be impractical for your requirement if you are prepared; third party batteries are cheap, and work well in my experience, I've got more than one for my compact system camera as it only takes 300 shots. Some are fairly small and really won't up that much space with a compact, I fit those and three lenses in a 8x6x4.5" bag.
Don't listen to whoever invariably suggests an SLR with an AA powered battery grip

Traditionally Canon have pretty much paralleled their consumer ranges with Li-On batteries in the most compact versions and AA (or maybe sometimes AAA?) in a slightly larger version.
I have not checked recently but if any of the current OEM battery cameras offer in camera USB charging then there would be nothing to stop you taking an external plug-in emergency battery pack that uses AA (or whatever) batteries just as one might use for a phone (for example).
