Anyone fancy an Exhaust Swap?

Hi, I have a sleeved standard exhaust, it sounds fantastic and certainly has a presence, but I would like to do some track days this summer, and at 105dB 4000 rpm, its only OK for Snetterton, and maybe one or 2 others but generally need to be below 95dB for most tracks.

So I am interested in a swap for a standard one if anyone fancies a louder experience? Its in decent condition. Can transport within 50 miles of Luton.

I would also consider purchase if you have a spare, or cans if I can get some at a reasonable price.

I have a spare set of cans and a spare exhaust available. Your call. I don't want a swap.
The ACT cans knock 2-6 dB off, about 3dB on average. The exhaust will make a bigger difference I think.
By the way, the noise test on a Chim is at 4500 rpm.

Mine is decatted, standard exhaust and while I have never failed to get under 105dB with cans, I have on occasion failed to make 101dB, even with cans, at Bedford.
Is yours decatted?

If you have no joy with a swap, it will be fairly quick to do it yourself. I returned to standard from sleeved recently. There are couple of ways in which you can do it on this thread. If you can't weld it together yourself, pop it down to a local fabricator. It wont take them long.

Can you PM me the best price on your spare exhaust if you are interested in selling? And where you are. As an option for me...

Might do the DIY fix. But but I dont weld. Need to find someone to weld it for beers, plus £20 or so for pipe and wadding.

One bag of wadding and a single length of perforated pipe off Ebay will do it. At least you'll be able to see how it has been sleeved when you remove your own exhaust. The benefit of doing it yourself is that you know the silencer is in good condition and the original mild steel perforated pipe hasn't rotted/ come away inside, reducing gas flow. There have been a few that have cut their silencer open, only to find the original pipes no longer connected.
