No one's ever mentioned it again??
It does what it says - probably most useful for enjoying yourself at the track rather than on the road, particularly at this time of year! Will let you know how effective it is when I have my session at Silverstone early next year.Pull both paddles for clutch kick AP said.

No idea - PDK "Sport" provides for higher shift points (if in Auto mode) and faster gear changes, so not clear why you'd choose not to use it, unless you were going for a relaxed cruise!I havent taken delivery of mine yet.. but I strongly suspect it's the equivalent of Sport Plus I had on my Carrera S.. which basically means the gearbox is in ballistic mode all the time.. which makes it tiring on the open road if you are not looking for the redline at all times..
I thought normal Sport mode was already pretty good for fast road use.. Sport Plus would have been track material.
I think the GT3 does away with the normal mode and has the equivalent of "sport" strategy by default. Which makes sense.

We all drive manuals.
Gt3 is dead, long live the Gt4 , let's hope it's the making of drivers car to come, other wise older cars are going to rocket up in price more than now.
Once again, mrdemon desperate to respond but add zero value to a 991 GT3 thread. How dull.Gt3 is dead, long live the Gt4 , let's hope it's the making of drivers car to come, other wise older cars are going to rocket up in price more than now.

His post tells you he's desperate to belong, and desperate to be seen as a great driver. He's decided to tell everybody this in every thread about the gt3 known to man. But who cares? Go drive your gt3

I think it hobbles the performance in some subtle ways. There has been talk of lower top speed in sport mode and suggestions of different cooling strategy. Some quoted a German as saying the car holds back 9% of the torque. Take your pick of those.
I think CH was just saying non-sport was what he was recommended. He was selecting gears himself, so might have some bearing.
