F10 M5 badge on bonnet

Evening,

The other day I was undertaken by an Impreza.
A while later I passed him back on the correct side of the road ....
As I pulled back in and slowed down a bit...... the front BMW badge flew off my car...
Its one year old, and lightly used, under 7k on the clock.

Anyone else had or heard of this ?
Think the dealer will fit a new on under warranty ?

I would be amazed if they didn't.

I had a Litronic washer cover fly off my 996 years ago and that was replaced without hesitation, I see no difference.

Having (eventually) removed one from my e39 earlier this year, I am amazed it could come off on its own.

Has this got anything to do with the Impreza? Did it kick something up that hit the badge? Or am I missing something?

I think multiple pressure washes applied at close proximity tends to delaminate them after a while.
