Evening chaps. As a younger man I persuaded my parents to stump up for a hifi for me one Christmas (prob 2003) and I ended up with a Rega Planet CD player, Rega Brio amp and a pair of JM Lab chorus 710 floor standers.

The kit was in storage from 2006 until last year when I finally had the space to enjoy it.

Now with a young one on the way i don't think cables, large speakers etc are the best idea. I am thinking of selling. I have been out of the hifi world (reading magazines etc) for a decade or so and I have no idea on current values. eBay only has 1 Planet for sale and it's the older version of mine. All are in excellent condition and the rega stuff is the black range- I seem to recall they also did it in grey.

Questions are:

1. Better to list on eBay as a package/separated?
2. Could someone give me a steer on values?

Ps. MODS- genuine questions and I am certainly not pitching to sell here. I understand entirely if removed.

There is a post in here, someone looking for a £500 hifi setup.
Probably about right for what you have?

Hi,

Planet is probably worth £150 at best (I have an mk1 Planet ), and the Brio about the same (on a good day, as I have been looking for a Mira amp, and they go around £200 ). Not sure about the speakers, but when I looked to sell my (£700 new) Castle floor standers, they were going for no more than £200.
List them separately. More hassle, but more chance of getting a decent price.

HTH
