Washer jets

Just wondered if anyone has used either of the following they could comment on, the clip on jets look a better option but are the flat wipers with jets already fitted just as bad as the originals?

Just fitted a pair of the 'first' ones with nozzles attached.
When I first installed them I heated the end of the tubing (with a hairdryer) to ease the fit.
This caused the glue holding the nozzle housing to the blade to give way.
Very little heat so they would have fallen off on the first warm day!
Not a great start but after glueing the housings on properly I can report that
they work very well!
Wipe is excellent and the washers actually work quite well.

I fitted the first style wipers to my car 2 years ago, never had a problem with them and on the few occasions that I have used them, they have given a good useable spray pattern.

The main benefit of them are that the water feed pipe is routed through the wiper arm spring and up the arm to the spray block, a very neat install

One of the frustrating things with mine is that, unless the screen is drenched (fat chance with these jets) the blades drag a bit and, don't then stop at the bottom of the screen. Is this something of a common problem and would the change potentially cure that?

I have the Leven ones, which seem indistinguishable from option 1 of the OP's post. They are a neat install, averagely effective.

Ive not looked at the standard fitted system yet but is it generally the jets that are at fault or is the pump weak?
Is there a non return valve in the system?

There's a non-return valve where the pipe exits the washer bottle.
